Love-Hate T-Shirts

By Arland Kent

If there is any one global cultural phenomenon in this world today it has to be T-shirts. Most everyone seems to be wearing one with some particular design or saying. It seems that people really find it enjoyable and fun to express themselves in their own unique way. They find a T-shirt with a design they like or get a customized one for all to see.

One especially popular theme you see on T-shirts will be the I love T-shirts. Many of these are customized "I love" or "I heart" shirts that allow for adding the item, object, thing or person that you love in text form. People simply want to tell and show others what they love. However, there exists a T-shirt with a different kind of spin to this love theme. You can call it a "love-hate" shirt or "hate-love" shirt. I suppose it sort of draws attention to the love-hate relationships many people might have with something or someone.

Various people refer to this love-hate relationship kind of thing that holds those opposite emotions of loving something or someone along with disliking the same thing or person at the same time. It seems there might be some similarity with respect to this love-hate thing and how some men or women talk about the enjoyment and trials of living with a significant other. For example, many men have said this about women "women, you can't live with them and you can't live without them". I suppose women might often say the same thing about men.

However, this love-hate thing has now been put on a T-shirt. You can find it in two different ways. If the T-shirt reads "hate" as you see it visually, then its reflection in a mirror would show the word "love". You'll also find T-shirts that show the opposite where you see the word "love" without using a mirror and see "hate" as the reflection. I'm guessing this T-shirt would be a nice novelty topic of discussion if the person wore it in public or among friends.

6 Things to Remember For Maternity Swimsuits

By Amy Jarman

Shopping for a swimsuit anytime can be overwhelming trying to find the right style and fit. When you are pregnant it can seem next to impossible to find the perfect suit or even one that looks halfway decent to be seen in public. But, it shouldn't be. Here are a few tips to make shopping for your maternity swimsuit a little easier and maybe even fun!

1) If you don't have time to go to the mall or out to your local maternity store, shop online! You may be amazed at the huge selection of maternity swimsuits that you can find online, probably a much fuller selection (and cheaper!) than you will find at your local boutique. Also, you can price compare very quickly to get the best price around.

2) Buy a maternity swimsuit. So many women try to squeeze into a regular swimsuit, just a size larger than normal when shopping for a new suit when pregnant. Don't do this! Unless you are just a few months along and won't be needing the suit beyond a few weeks, you are much better off buying a suit that will fit you comfortably throughout the swim season. Maternity swimsuits are made to stretch more and are made strategically bigger in the places you need it most - the belly, bust and the hips. Also, you do not want to compress your belly when you are pregnant, its not comfortable or healthy!

3) Fit the biggest part of you first. If you are in your last trimester, you may be better off with a 2 piece Tankini or Halterkini that allows the most belly room. If you are brave, then go for a maternity bikini. A maternity bikini will allow you all the belly room you will ever need and fit you comfortably in the other parts as well. If your chest has doubled in size, look for a suit with more bust support and a bigger cup size. The Babydolls styles are known for more bust coverage and support as well as bottom coverage.

4) If you are a different size in the bust than the bottom, then get a 2 piece to fit each area. Some stores do sell separate bottoms. The other option is to buy an adjustable tie bikini bottom style. The side tie bikinis can be made bigger or smaller to fit you perfectly as you grow.

5) Look for adjustable straps. Halter styles are very popular as they enhance cleavage and give an overall feminine and flattering look to just about anyone. Make sure the halter style you chose does tie behind the neck and does not just loop. If you prefer the tank style, make sure the straps are adjustable, like a bra strap. This allows for the best overall support and fit.

6) Check out the maternity store's return policy. Many stores both online and brick and mortar stores do not allow returns of swimwear, so you want to be absolutely sure that this is the suit for you. If this is the case, you are probably better off trying the suit on in store first. Some stores only allow returns for store credit and many do charge a restocking fee for returns over a certain amount. Make sure you check out the store policy so that you are not hit with a big bill for returning 10 swimsuits that do not fit right!

Once you find your perfect suit, you may want to find a cover-up to go with it. Maternal America has some great Tunic Cover-Ups that can be worn casually with shorts or pants as well. Also, don't forget the sunscreen as pregnant skin is more sensitive than normal. Good luck and have fun in the sun!

Regain That Shopping Feeling Again

By Jermaine Sutton

I remember the time when buying power was solely given to the consumer and retailers worked diligently in ensuring that consumers continued to have the proper leverage to walk in buy whatever they desired and walked out happy customers. What happened to those times and why did some retailers change their strategy?

I will tell you what happened, retailers got greedy, manufacturers got greedy, and consumers, the most important part of the equation were left out of the conference room discussions and when the focus came to targeting demographics to boost sales, a lot of companies that have since went into bankruptcy made the biggest assumption of all; they assumed that consumers would purchase no matter the cost or situation because it was an unwanted need, need being their products, that the consumer desired. Therefore the assumption was that if they continued to provide the product, we would continue to purchase.

Evidently that assumption cost a lot of retailers dearly and manufacturers are not too far behind with their overhead cost to build or develop the products costing the retailer more to house the product than the actual profit from sale. There is definitely a serious reality check in the mist as the dark clouds (the economy) continues to hover overhead with little sunny skies in sight. Those companies that remain true to principle such as Wal-Mart and many other discount stores as you can see after the storm hit, continued to strive and make profit.

I recently came across an online store heavy with discount coupons and low price products covering all the big names in the industry. The thing that struck me about this website not only was the price of its merchandise, but its name, "Products4less". As a consumer, I am always shopping for a great bargain and face it, in an economy where jobs are scarce and money is even scarcer, discount shopping will become the wave or new fad of the future for shoppers that love to purchase new things without breaking the bank account.

Obviously the owner had you and me in mind when he developed this website because the products being offered are top brand products from some pretty heavy designers from Prada (100% Authentic), Coach(100% Authentic), Marc Jacobs(100% Authentic), fashion jeans, discounted women apparel, discounted jewelry, bath & body, perfume, books, and a lot more. The catch phrase for all of the products is "discount" and "products for less". Face it, every dollar earned and saved is savings and when you can get what you want for a fraction of the cost and walk away with money left over, then you have regained your buying power.

After all, the power to purchase is not the retailers, but yours as the consumer making the purchase as they can't succeed without you and they know if they don't make reasonable offers to you in an effort to convince you to buy their products, then they lose out big as you simply move on to the next retailer that offers the right product for the right price.

If you are looking for a place to regain some serious shopping power and find the products you need or desire at discount prices and for a fraction of the cost, I recommend you take a look around at http://www.products4less.org
